I could talk about my black and blue

memories,
of the times he hit me,
or the times that I allowed substances
to intoxicate my brain to a point that
black and blue was all I saw,
but instead I’d rather talk about the
black and blue in the world.

The two colors swirl mysteriously
together to make such a beautiful
combination;
one that causes a drowsiness
filled with an appreciate of the
world that can be seen through
our own eyes.

What a perspective, the black and
blues of the world;
little lady Hepburn talked about the
mean reds, but I’d rather stick
with the cold blues, the simmering
blacks.

That’s where the true attack is,
in the essence and middle of
those two dark colors colliding
into one.
